Mabuhay Cup 2009

Mabuhay Cup took place this weekend at hoopdome. Alot of young talent was shown, few winners, and many losers. Unfortunately i was lucky to win a championship for the midget division.. LETS GO GMA/LAKAN! we won all three games on friday and saturday, and came out being unbeatable in the tournament and went home with the cup... we played Toronto Falcons who had J.Henry Valmadrid, Jeff Ortiz as the original and added on Josh Bulda, Josh Codinera and AJ Lacsamana, had a tough first half but came out strong in the second half thinking it would of been a much closer game... We advanced to the finals facing Sultans who had Jerome Yumal, Kevin Ramos, Jason Lomboy and Ryan Abdul. It was a close game the whole game, we were down 9 points and came back late in the 2nd half with an important run. Congrats to Sultan and my team Lakan..
On the other hand representing our open division we had stars Matthew Wright, Phil Ramirez and Clint Villardo to do the duty and bring home the cup. They made it to the finals but sadly lost it to Toronto Falcons. Next Year my dudes...
Overall this weekend was tiring and HOT... im going to rest up, get back at this laater
