Left on Thursday night n got there on Friday morning. Our check in time was 3 p.m so we went shopping abit. Mens took an hour drive just to go to a wal-mart superstore... pretty cheesed... We then went to the hotel nd our room was getting fixed so we were jst coolin' out in the lobby dribblin' the basketball. We got in our room, got settled then i went downstairs to see everyone, chilled with the Fil-Can (myba) team for abit.
That whole day i was jst chillen downstairs with ma dudes. Saturday morning we had to get up at 6 to go to the parade. I went late because me n salsberg was loaftin in the hotel. We got there nd took pictures nd found out our game times. After we found out our schedule paulos family nd i went to the mall nd bought HYPERIZES, we got our shoes then had a game against Glendale Heights(chicago) the host of the tournament. We 20 peiced them, On to New York, wasnt even considered a game. it was a practise. Saturday night i just cooled out in the hotel with a bunch of ppl. Sunday morning was our game against Winnipeg, it was a real good game. Shit-talking nd all. liiive. unfortunately, we lost to em by 3 cause i missed a the shot. I promised to win the next game so i came hard. We played Glendale again, but this game was much harder, coach rested me n paulo for the 10 minutes of the first half.. they had a 15 point lead on us so coach put us in. they then carried it out to a 20 point lead but by the end of the second we got it back to 6 points. I guess we just didnt have it in us because We gave our all, plus paulo rolled his ankle in the last minutes so that hurt us also. we might of just been tired to. Im pretty disappointed nd ashamed. I gave a guarenteed win nd we came out with no medal.
Over all the tournament was great. Alot of shit talking nd getting in ppl's face, but thats basketball.
